Civil Engineer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design land development and site design projects from concept/study phases through construction, including grading, utilities, drainage, storm water management, sediment and erosion control, permitting, and regulatory approval.
  • Develop Roadway Design plans and contract documents
  • Perform Roadway Design tasks including:
    • Culvert and storm sewer designs
    • Horizontal and vertical alignments
    • Typical section development
    • Geometrics and grades
    • Development of roadway cross sections and/or corridor model
  • Ensure completeness of the design related forms and reports
  • Prepare project specifications, quantity take-offs, cost estimates and project schedules.
  • Oversee layout and/or review plans
  • Demonstrate advanced use of CAD and assure compliance with project CAD standards
  • ​Other duties may include client interaction, interdisciplinary communication, proposal preparation, fee estimating.

Survey CAD Technician

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Draft survey plats and easements.
  • Process topographic surveys.
  • Work professionally as a representative of BrigenConsulting and our clients.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and oral, with the project team.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans, profiles, cross sections, details, figures, graphs and charts.
  • Determine earthwork cuts and fills volumes based on existing and proposed topography.
  • Create existing and proposed surfaces and contours using points. Create road, storm and sanitary sewer profiles and sections using existing and proposed surfaces.
  • Supports field assignments as required.

REQUIREMENTS
Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Land surveying or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in land surveying is preferred 
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before employees of the organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Software skills

  • Ability to use CAD software and Microsoft Office programs.
  • Having experience using Autocad Civil 3D and OpenRoads would be a plus.

Architecture Team Leader

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for assigned projects and work packages to ensure that they meet or exceed clients’ expectations.
  • Ensure the team assigned to the project is keeping to the agreed man-days and booking their time spent on the project accurately.
  • Ensure all communications with clients are clear, concise, and accurate.
  • Support the Project Associate in discussions and negotiations with the clients and BDMs in agreeing on project fees and identifying project VOs.
  • Keep your project Associate fully informed of all relevant project matters to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of the project to the client’s satisfaction.
  • Ensure that Weekly Project Reports and tracked Project Programmes are prepared, maintained, and distributed on a weekly basis.
  • Responsible for making sure your project team is following the Brigen Consulting TAP procedures and completing timesheets on time.
  • Manage projects in an efficient and time-conscious manner. Oversee BIM modeling, the production of drawings, schedules, and specification notes.
  • Undertake regular checks of both CAD and hard copy drawings, procedures, and project structure of your project team’s work.
  • Troubleshoot, and resolve problem areas, as and when they occur.
  • Support your teams with guidance, mentoring, and training.
  • Responsible for managing the resourcing of your projects and the interface with Clients.
  • Identify and report to your project Associate on any training needs that need to be satisfied to complete a project.
  • Feedback on any issues that affect the delivery of the project in a timely manner.
  • Assist in the profitable delivery of each project by adhering to the project plan and budgets.
  • Accurately report to your Project Associate any discrepancies, additional work, anomalies, and errors on individual projects so that contractual or billing adjustments can be made.
  • Assist your Project Associate with pricing and reviewing new projects and producing man-day estimates, programs, and storyboarding, as required. As well as assisting in producing MDEs/DLSs, when required for fee proposals.
  • Assist your Project Associate in deciding amounts to be invoiced to clients against the agreed contracts and delivery milestones.
  • Identify the training and development needs of your team to enhance their careers within Brigen Consulting.
  • Feedback on any issues that may arise affecting the viability or profitability of the project.
  • Proactive attendance to your own personal development plan in line with CPD (Continuous Professional Development) expectations.
  • Lead by example in the areas of delegation, coaching, decision-making, time management, leadership, and communication.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications, Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or equivalent
  • Minimum 4-7 years of experience
  • Software requirement: Strong knowledge across Autodesk and Graphisoft CAD and BIM is required, MS Office suite (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project)
  • Proficiency in using Autodesk Revit

Technical requirement

  • Good knowledge of Building Regulations, detailing, and oversea construction methods 
  • Ability to prepare architectural documentation to international standards

Structure Engineer

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design or produce general drawings, sections, elevations, details, and layouts as required and reference into coherent working drawing / production information packages of structural systems of the projects
  • Follow and pick up the latest changes on the design/drawings under the instruction of the leader
  • Inform leader when complete the task or when find out any difficulties to make sure the assignment can be finished in the quickest and the most economical way
  • Raise the issue of the projects if any findings to the leader
  • Follow all QMS requirements under the supervision of the leader

MEP Associate

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop, and review / check the designs / documentation of MEP systems of the projects
  • Provide technical advice / input / solution relevant to MEP systems
  • Overall management and delivery of LOD200 to LOD500 BIM projects
  • Knowledge of AM / FM data management and input is advantageous; knowledge of Scan to BIM technology is also preferable
  • Closely work with the Commercial team in defining the scope of work, ensuring scope coverage, and quoting correctly in line with the Company strategies
  • Prepare man-hour estimates for BIM projects, based on tender briefing or client documents. Advanced Revit knowledge is essential
  • Creating and maintaining Navisworks models and managing the clash analysis throughout projects

General Duties

  • Mobilize and manage relevant project resources and related issues in accordance with the project plan
  • Manage, complete and hand over multiple MEP projects related to infrastructure / construction projects. Ensure timely completion of projects within approved budgets on cost and resources. Conform to all QMS requirements. Assist in making sure the project is profitable
  • Lead, manage and develop an MEP team of more than 10 people including coaching, training, and maximizing utilization
  • Performs any other duties and assignments by the Line Manager related to the job function
  • Assist in BIM training plans and R&D of new tools and applications
  • Leading project conference calls with international clients (excellent English language skills required)

REQUIREMENTS

  • B.Sc. or above in either Mechanical, Electrical, or Hydraulic Engineering
  • Ideally Autodesk Certified Professional
  • Minimum of (5) years’ post BSc qualification experience with a minimum of (3) years managing projects
  • In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations, building codes especially offshore regulations governing large construction projects
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical / electrical / plumbing techniques
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques, and concepts

Software skills

  • Advanced Revit skills / Navisworks skills
  • Excellent skills in other BIM software and its application across the AEC industry

English skills
